(Beijing, January 15, 2024) — A research team led by Professor Li Junhua from the School of Environment at Tsinghua University has recently published groundbreaking findings in the renowned journal Applied Catalysis B: Environmental, announcing the successful development of a novel SCR denitration catalyst with exceptional resistance to alkali metal poisoning. This technological breakthrough holds significant potential for addressing catalyst deactivation issues in industries such as coal-fired power generation and waste incineration.

Recent advancements in plate-type denitration catalysts have garnered significant industry attention across multiple industrial sectors. These catalysts utilize a metal-based substrate as the carrier, coated with active catalytic materials, offering exceptional structural stability and strong anti-clogging performance. They are particularly suitable for flue gas environments with high dust concentrations, such as those found in waste incineration, coking, and sintering applications.

Shandong Nahai Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. recently announced that its corrugated denitration catalyst has achieved 24,000 consecutive operating hours (approximately 2.7 years) in a sintering flue gas treatment project at a steel company. Operational data confirm that the catalyst maintains stable performance, with denitration efficiency consistently exceeding 85%, and NOx emission levels complying with national standards.
